Corrections Policy
Light becomes trustworthy when mistakes are faced directly.
What is corrected
Material factual errors, misleading omissions, incorrect names, dates, locations, figures, quotations, links, or image credits are corrected as soon as reasonably possible after verification.
How corrections appear
Substantive corrections are noted on the article with the date and a plain explanation of what changed. Minor spelling or formatting repairs may be made without a correction note when they do not alter meaning.
Retractions and updates
A story may be retracted when its central claim cannot be supported. Developing stories may carry update notes as reliable information changes. The internal activity log preserves the editorial record.
Report a concern
Use the website story form and clearly label the submission as a correction request. Include the article URL, the disputed passage, and the evidence supporting the correction.
