Terms of Use

These terms protect the people whose stories are told, the sources whose work is credited, and the readers who rely on Humanity Beacon.

Editorial content

Humanity Beacon publishes original summaries, reporting, commentary, and media for which it has permission. Source links remain visible. Material may be corrected, updated, retracted, or archived as new facts emerge.

Story submissions

Submitting a lead does not guarantee publication. Submitters must not knowingly provide false information, confidential material they lack authority to share, or media they do not have permission to provide.

Humanity Beacon may contact submitters or named sources to verify a story before publication.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access the private newsroom, disrupt the service, impersonate another person, scrape private information, or use the site to harass people named in a story.

No guarantee

Humanity Beacon works to report accurately, but no publication can promise that every fact will remain unchanged. Corrections are part of trustworthy reporting, not evidence that correction should be hidden.
